The saladino award

The Tony Saladino Memorial Baseball Award was established in 1971 and is presented annually to the outstanding high school senior baseball player in Hillsborough County as a memorial to Tony Saladino Sr. and to promote school baseball.

The selection of the player for this award are by nominations and voted upon by of all the current Hillsborough County high school baseball head coaches. Nominations are primarily based on each player's baseball playing abilities. Consideration is also given to scholarship, leadership and character.
